NPRA LAUNCHES WOMEN’S WING TO PROMOTE LEADERSHIP AND EMPOWERMENT
The National Pensions Regulatory Authority (NPRA) on Monday, 9th March 2026, officially launched the NPRA Women’s Wing while commemorating International Women’s Day at an event held at the Authority’s Head Office in Accra.
The programme brought together management and staff of the Authority to celebrate the achievements and contributions of women, while inaugurating a platform aimed at promoting mentorship, leadership, and collaboration among female staff within the organisation.
In brief remarks, Madam Efua Appiah-Gyimah noted that the establishment of the Women’s Wing represents an important step towards strengthening support systems for women within the Authority and encouraging professional growth and leadership development.
As part of the ceremony, the logo of the NPRA Women’s Wing was officially unveiled, marking the formal introduction of the initiative.
Delivering the keynote address, Lady Comfort Ocran spoke on the theme “Empowering Women, Securing Futures: Leadership and Impact in the Pension Sector.” She encouraged women to embrace leadership opportunities, invest in personal growth, and support one another in achieving professional excellence. She also emphasised the importance of women planning financially for the future and identifying positive role models whose values and achievements can inspire personal and professional growth.
The Chief Executive Officer of NPRA, Mr. Chris Boadi-Mensah, also commended the initiative, noting that the establishment of the Women’s Wing reflects the Authority’s commitment to promoting inclusiveness, mentorship, and leadership development within the Authority.
The launch of the Women’s Wing marks an important milestone for the Authority and is expected to empower women within NPRA, strengthen the Authority, and contribute meaningfully to the development of Mother Ghana.
